Jäger is a 1 year old bundle of energy that was incapable of being exhausted no matter how much we ran and played. We signed up for the Novice Trick Dog class in hopes that we could tire him out with something new.. Brain games! And it worked!! Now we're going to work our way to each of the next levels with Marion as our trainer, advocate and friend. If you're looking for a trainer who has a ridiculous amount of patience (even for a wild 1 year old GSD), Marion is your best choice :)

Marion is a wonderful dog trainer! Our 6 year old pug, Thor, has went through Adult 1, 2, CGC class and Tricks class at Molasses Creek and has thrived thanks to Marion's experience and knowledge. He not only passed his CGC test, but also his Therapy Dog test. Marion not only trains dogs, but she helps us humans understand the best way to communicate with and teach our dogs, as well. She always keeps classes fun and entertaining. I highly recommend any of her classes!

Marion truly has a second sense about dogs. She is knowledgeable and her powers of observation around dog behavior is truly impressive. I (and my Goldendoodle Kaz) have learned a lot working with Marion over the past year, and we plan to continue working with her. Marion knows her dogs, and knows about how to build great relationships with your companion(s). Thank you for all you're doing Marion.

Marion's knowledge and love of dogs is visible from your first encounter with her. We just finished our first class Puppy Manners I, and are so pleased with the results we are going to keep going for more! Daisy, our Dogo Argentino puppy, started at only about 9 weeks, some people told me at that age she was too young to learn anything but they were so wrong! The class was small and intimate which was great and did not cause distractions as I've heard from my friends who have gone to bigger chains. Daisy was so scared of all the other dogs that first week but she has come a long way!

We recently completed Adult Manners 1 with our Jack Russell, Charli. We knew we had to give Charli some type of training in order to focus her energy and to help socialize her with other dogs. We loved training at Molasses Creek! Charli grew very attached to Marion from the beginning and would get excited every time she saw her. Marion teaches clicker training, which we liked because it is in no way harmful to the dogs. Charli now automatically sits when she wants attention, to eat, and to go outside. We're still working on come when called, but she listens to it much more than she did before we went to class! We learned how to keep Charli interested on us so that she comes to us when she's bored instead of becoming destructive. One of the best things about this class is that Marion teaches you how to train so that you can continue to do so after the class has ended. We're looking forward to the Advanced Adult C.L.A.S.S.!

People who come to our home are amazed by all the things we have learned at Puppy I and Puppy II class. Crouton can sit, shake, lay down, come (well, we are still working on this one!) leave it, loose leash walk, roll-over and Peek-A-Boo etc. Because of the things we learned at class, potty training was a breeze too. Crouton rings a bell hung from our door when he needs to go. Most importantly, he has learned to be very social with other dogs. We couldn't have done any of this without Marion's teaching. Marion's methods work! We would recommend her to anyone looking for dog or puppy training classes.

We just finished Puppy Manners I with our 3 month old border collie, Sadie. Marion is a great trainer and very focused on positive reinforcement, which makes the training process fun for all of us. She was very helpful by providing potty training tips and makes herself available via phone and email for any questions we have during the week. It's amazing how much we've learned in such a short period of time! We can't wait to start Puppy Manners II!

We recently completed Adult 1 Manners with our 10 month old puppy, Airy. It was so much fun to watch her "get it". As this is our first dog, much of the training helped US get comfortable with her. Her leash skills are much improved; she learned to wait for us to go out of a door before her; she has learned how to "go home" to her bed; most of the time she responds to "come" unless she is hell bent on catching a squirrel. She has also learned to sit, lie down, stay and to "leave it". We are looking forward to starting the Canine Good Citizen class.
Marion has a way of balancing her professionalism with her humor. She is available for questions during class or afterwards by phone or email. She has a way of letting you know that you need to work a bit more if you want your dog to improve without putting pressure on you to do so. In addition to the skills we have learned in class we have learned things about the best kind of leash for our dog; when to use what kinds of treats; the best way to crate and ideas for practicing at home with the emphasis on a few minutes throughout the day rather than time consuming practices. We feel it has been well worth the 1/2 hour drive to Molasses Creek and recommend Marion as a trainer. Her greatest strength is her undeniable love of dogs.

Marion is a great dog trainer. She has patience and knowledge. Even though I am a Veterinary Technician and have read books on training and dog behavior, but when it comes to doing hands on training I was lacking skills. Marion was very patient with me and my Labrador dog named Ice. I rescued him in mid June at age 7. So we are still getting to know one another. We finished adult manners 1. Ice comes when called, will stand and stay while I get the morning paper and is pulling much less on the leash. I love loose leash walking. It saves my shoulders.Marion is now helping me with teaching Ice some manners when around other dogs. Without her help I would be totally frustrated and would not be enjoying my new friend. I highly recommend her for dog training. It makes for such a nice bond with your dog.

Molly is a typical puppy, a little rough around the edges. But after finishing Puppy Manners I she is on her way to becoming a well mannered young lady. Can't wait for Puppy II to begin so we can share the next part of her journey. Thank you Marion.
